Naturopathic Medical Services Portland
At Hudson Naturopathic Clinic, I treat a wide range of conditions from eczema to irritable bowel syndrome to menopause. My specialty and passion is working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with ADD/ADHD, depression, and anxiety.
I see people suffering and unhappy with their conventional medications. There are so many ways to treat these conditions with dietary and lifestyle changes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and herbs. There are natural ways to boost neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, GABA, and dopamine. We do not have to rely on medications.
A recent study found that 64% of ADHD kids are experiencing a hypersensitivity to a food and that these food reactions may be causing many of the ADHD symptoms. These foods can be determined by a simple food allergy panel performed in my office.
I offer an alternative approach to pharmaceuticals, often prescribing herbs, nutrients, foods, and body work techniques, such as massage and craniosacral therapy, which can help reduce symptoms and get to the source of the problem.
Counseling or talk therapy is frequently used during patient visits. Utilizing state of the art laboratory tests, such as urine testing for neurotransmitter levels (i.e. serotonin, dopamine, and GABA) and blood testing for delayed food allergies, I can target my treatment recommendations and help patients regain the happiness and focus they desire.
