Here you will find a list of “my favorites,” including websites, books, apps and Oregon-based therapists and psychologists.  I actually own these books, use these websites and apps, and know the people listed. 😊 I hope you find this information helpful on your journey to wellness.

Favorite websites and books for meal planning:

Local Dirt Cookbook: Andrea Bemis

by Andrea Bemis.

I love her cookbooks too: Dishing up the Dirt and Local Dirt. Her nourishing meals promote eating with each season and buying local. I LOVE so many of her recipes! One of my favorites is the Tumbleweed Farms Favorite Kale Salad. My youngest son requested this salad for his 11th birthday!

Eat-what-you-love-Danielle-Walkers

Danielle Walker is so inspiring! She has quite the vault of amazing recipes, loved by the whole family! I have her books, Against All Grain, Meals Made Simple and Eat What You Love. Her meals are gluten free and wonderful for anyone suffering from autoimmune disease. I LOVE her almond flour zucchini bread. It never lasts for more than a few hours in our home!

Love-Real-Food-kathryne-taylor

by Kathryne Taylor and her book, Love Real Food.

I have so many favorite recipes it’s hard to choose! She is all about nutrient-dense, vegetarian meals with lots of color and flavor. I love finding great vegetarian recipes with extra vegetables for a healthy gut microbiome! My favorite soup recipe is her Quinoa Vegetable Soup with Kale. It’s a great way to clean out the refrigerator and use up those veggies!

paleo-running-momma

by Michele Rosen.

I love her salads, bowls, and breakfast ideas. My favorite granola is her Cranberry Walnut Paleo Granola with no added sugar. I would double the batch! There is never enough!

Averie-Cooks

by Averie Sunshine.

Her easy and healthy recipes have been a lifesaver working full-time and trying to feed my hungry teenage boys! Our family favorite recipe is her Coconut Lime Chicken and Sweet Potato Curry. We make this at least 2-3x a month!

Other great websites and books:

Hearly-Lentil-Stew-the-Harvest-Kitchen

by Deborah Duncan.

Find some wonderful whole food recipes. I really like her Hearty Lentil Stew.

“Your body is built to move.”

Apps for exercising at home or at the gym:

Peloton-app

I love the cardio and strengthening classes (Jess Sims is amazing!).
Filter by length, class type, music and more! They even have Barre, yoga, and guided meditations.

Nike-training-club

Great trainers (love Kirsty Godso) and programs to keep you on track and motivated.

Meditation apps:

Insight-Timer-s

Find a plethora of meditation teachers with a wide variety of styles.  I like Hugh Byrne and his “5-minute meditation.”  I like being able to filter by time and type of meditation.

“Take moments of quiet time to be still and focus on your physical and mental health.”

I only prescribe quality supplements from companies I trust.

If you are a current patient needing to purchase or refill your supplements, please click the link emailed to you or log on to Fullscript using this link. Your supplements will be shipped to you.

Fullscript has a built-in “quality assurance team” to make sure that their 15,000 products are kept safe and follow the “cGMP” standards.

They also have an extensive “quality control questionnaire” that is given to all brands who wish to join Fullscript. This way only brands with high standards of care are allowed on Fullscript.
